Japanese Jackfruit

Super easy to do, especially if you want a recipe for #meatfreemondays! A salad bowl of organic spinach, corn, cucumber and quinoa if you want a more protein rich meal… Top with some sliced nori sheets and sesame seeds for a complete nutritious bowl.

Ingredients

1 can Organic Young Jackfruit drained and rinsed

2 tsp Organic Tamari Soy Sauce

1 tsp Organic Sesame Oil, Toasted

1 spring onion, finely sliced

SERVING SUGGESTION

Spinach

Corn

Cucumber

Organic Quinoa, White cooked

Organic Roasted Seaweed Nori Snack sliced

Method

Remove the hard core of the jackfruit and shred the remainder of the fruit so it resembles pulled pork.

Heat a little oil in a pan, add the jackfruit, tamari and sesame oil. Fry off for 5 minutes, add the spring onion and cook a further 3 minutes.

Serve on your chosen salad or quinoa bowl.

Great in wraps, sandwiches, or tacos too.
