You probably have memories of drinking chocolate milk when you were a kid, the kind that came from a tin and was a mix of cocoa powder and sugar … well, you know better now.
This chocolate milk is both nutritionally and functionally a superior option to those commercially manufactured store brought versions full of preservatives, additives and loaded with sugar.
Most chocolate milks will use a mix of cocoa and sugar, a lot of sugar. We, on the other hand, use raw cacao which is loaded with antioxidants and contains the mood improver, anandamide, also known as the “bliss molecule” (a THC-like molecule used for signaling in the brain).
This chocolate milk can be made in advance and kept in the fridge for up to four days, depending on how fresh your milk is. It’s perfect for starting the day, or sipping on throughout the day, as well as a post workout refuel.
So we all understand, what is protein?
Protein is built from building blocks called amino acids. Our bodies make amino acids in two different ways: either from scratch, or by modifying others. The modification involves using a combination of amino acids which must come from food, these are the essential amino acids.

It is an important building block of bones, muscles, cartilage, skin and blood.
Where possible, try to incorporate protein into your diet throughout the day, including snacks, so you’re not eating huge amounts of protein during your main meals.

How much protein do you need in your life?
It depends on a couple of things, men and women have different requirements and age is another variable. 1 cup Organic Coconut Milk
1 tablespoon Organic Coconut Butter
Add all ingredients to a blender and process until smooth.
It can keep in the fridge for a couple of days so you can pre make in advance. It’s perfect for an after school snack too!
