Ceres has developed to be New Zealand's foremost distributor for Organic products;
including dry goods, skin, body, hair care and colours, household cleaning and fresh
produce. We started our journey with humble beginnings as a school fair stall in 1982,
growing to a small business based in a garage. From here, a retail shop was
established which still operates at 181 Ladies Mile, Ellerslie, Auckland and today we
employ 70 people and operate a large warehousing facility and head office.

Consumers are becoming more educated in relation to healthy and nutritional foods.
Allergies are on the increase and the potential side effects of chemicals and genetic
engineering in our food are of huge concern. Conventional household and skin care
products hold their own problematic chemical overload situation, yet small changes in
buying habits can make an enormous difference.

Ceres Enterprises supplies retailers with healthy options for their discerning customers.
With an ever expanding range of products, Ceres is endeavouring to support and encourage
healthy people and a healthier New Zealand.

Many years ago organics was the norm, then after industrialisation, organics became a
fringe alternative market. Today, particularly in Europe and North America, organic is
a consumer driven growth industry. Similar moves are being seen in the New Zealand
market.

We are rolling out a new look to our Ceres Organics branded products and we feel this
reflects the quality and value of our range. The contents and quality remain the same.
Ceres sources ingredients from New Zealand and around the world that are certified
organic and we continue to strive for rewarding long term relationships that build
healthy social structures from the farm to the store carrying organic foods. We also
strive for strong, healthy New Zealand families and we have the products to support
such an important goal.
